Grace morning on this marvelous and magnificent Monday!
The Christmas story with shepherds and wisemen and the baby Jesus--isn't just a Christmas story?
At its heart, it is a love story! A love story that just happens to be celebrated at Christmas. It first premiered over two thousand years ago and has been cherished over and over again--not just at Christmas, but every day, by every heart longing to be loved, in every generation since.
This holiday season, don't just rehearse a Christmas story. Rehearse the great love story that is the gift of Jesus.
The Christmas story is compelling on every level. At the center of the story message is a manger which cradles a tiny babe. What a way for God to grab our attention! But don't be fooled by the "cuteness" or "quaintness" of the imagery. The child in that manger has a serious message to communicate to the whole world. As the God of the Universe, He condescended to bring heaven to earth and peace between God and man.
“For a child has been born—for us! the gift of a son—for us! He’ll take over the running of the world. His names will be: Amazing Counselor, Strong God, Eternal Father, Prince of Wholeness. His ruling authority will grow, and there’ll be no limits to the wholeness he brings.”
To avoid the robbers and thieves who would attempt to steal your joy and peace, and leave you spiritually bankrupt this holiday season, listen to the message of the baby in the manger.
Live, love and laugh your way through this memorable and meaningful Monday!
