Grace morning on this sensational and satisfying Saturday.
When life storms strikes, we should say; Is this really storm? Or is God bringing His will to pass through this apparent storm? Yes, it might be very painful at the time, but lets keep seeing God in the picture! In the lives of the faithful God is ALWAYS bringing good out of evil.
If you want a firsthand account of someone who allowed the peace of Christ to rule in his heart in spite of the storms of adversity, read Paul’s letter to the Philippians. Paul was imprisoned, possibly facing death, but he refused to allow his circumstances to rob him of joy.
Paul’s secret for experiencing the peace of Christ, was that he gave two powerful antidotes to worry: the first is prayer. “Be anxious for nothing,” the Bible tells us, “but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7).
The second powerful antidote to fear? Meditation on God’s Word. There is something about meditation on God’s Word that allows peace to rule our lives. In many ways, the Bible is simply a record of God’s faithfulness to His people.
““But blessed is the man who trusts me, GOD, the woman who sticks with GOD. They’re like trees replanted in Eden, putting down roots near the rivers— Never a worry through the hottest of summers, never dropping a leaf, Serene and calm through droughts, bearing fresh fruit every season.”
Jeremiah 17:7-8 MSG
Just as God has been faithful to those who have obeyed Him in the past, He promises to do the same for you today.
Live, love, and laugh your way through this sufficient and life’s storm-less Saturday!
