Dr. Billy Bell, Sr. was born in Fort Worth, Texas August 09, 1956, to Robert Spencer and Hattie Mae Bell. He was called to the Gospel Ministry in 1979 through the Harvey Avenue Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas and was ordained there on November 14, 1982. 

Pastor Bell accepted the call and challenge to organize Judea Missionary Baptist Church in 1987. Judea was organized with six-members and grew to well over 300 on the roster.

Pastor Bell accepted the call to New Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas in 1997 to serve as Senior Pastor. Under his leadership over thirty-five active ministries have been established. Pilgrim Land Park came into fruition in March of 2015 and Pilgrim Land Bistro, a small diner “housed” inside the church was opened in November 2014. 

Two mission churches have been planted under Pastor Bell’s leadership with two of his fifteen “spiritual” sons in the ministry. 

Pastor Bell currently serves as President/Professor of 3BC (Billy Bell Bible Institute) and President of V & B Ministries Church Wide Institute. In 2004 and 2012 Pastor Bell traveled and toured the Holy Land. 

While in Israel, Pastor Bell said his greatest moments were when he walked in the Garden of Gethsemane, stood on the place called Calvary, and went in to view the empty tomb where Jesus had lain. 

In 2012 Pastor Bell traveled to Nairobi, Kenya with V & B Ministries International Church Wide Institute where he lectured at Nairobi Pentecostal Bible College. Pastor Bell is affiliated with the National Baptist Convention USA, Incorporated and serves as one the Board members of the Dallas Baptist Theological Institute. 

Pastor Bell has lectured and preached in the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. and The National Baptist Convention of America respectively. From 2001 – 2011, he served as the Director of the Frank Ray Expository Preaching/Church Growth Conference.

Pastor Bell is a graduate of Faith Seminary in Tacoma Washington with a Master of Theological Studies and Doctor of Ministry degree. Pastor Bell received an Honorary Doctor of Divinity from Saint Thomas Christian College in Jacksonville, Florida.

Pastor Bell has been joyfully married to Sarah Louise Bell for over twenty-three years. They have six adult children, sixteen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. His quiver is blessed to full capacity.... Psalm 127:5
